Play It Again Sam
‘Play it again Sam’ takes us back to one of the most legendary clashes in Gaelic Football’s colourful history between Kerry and Dublin - The All Ireland Football Final of 1975. One of the sad moments of the All Ireland Final in that year was Mickey Ned O’Sullivan’s "Knock Out" injury and the fact that he never received the Sam Maguire Cup … However on the 18th September 2005, 30 years after that famous game both of the teams from Dublin and Kerry from 1975 met up once more and the Sam Maguire Cup was re-presented to Mickey Ned O 'Sullivan.
“Play it Again Sam” is the story of men who adorned our Field of Dreams many years ago, men who have become successful mentors and individuals off the pitch ... Men with huge egos …. Men who have formed long and lasting friendships with their opposites over the years.
Play it Again Sam is about an All Ireland Final that dawned a new age in the footballer and the art of footballing for future years to come .
